Complete Equine Services Reproduction – Stallion Station – USDA Quarantine Facility – Farrier Services About Us .............High Eagle Ranch is located on highway 50 on the North side of Delta. We bought this 113 acre ranch 11 years ago, as it was only a large field of alfalfa. We have built everything here from scratch. We have been raising AQHA and APHA horses now for over 35 years. Standing stallions is not new to us as we have been standing them to the public for over 20 years. We have been breeding by AI only since 1997. Recently we have decided to expand our operations and offer our expertise to outside clients to stand their Stallions, Receive Cooled or Frozen Semen, Freezing Semen, Embryo Transfers, and all other reproduction needs. We also offer a resident Farrier.Facility, Facility, Facility,................................ Stallion Barn – 8 stalls (from 16 X 12 to 12 X 12), cleaned twice a day, thick shavingfor bedding, solid railroad tie floor (for some give and no way for horses to dig holes ), all stalls have a built in under ground drain for urine, 45 gallon waters, corner wall feeder, and every stall has its own heat light. This barn also has a hay/grain storage area and a full tack room. Breeding Barn – This big barn houses our Lab, Office, a full Bath Room, and 3 Foaling Stalls.WOW our Lab has is all. It is a full set up equipped with a stainless steel deep triple sink, 2 microscopes, large incubator, fridge/freezer, water bath, large storage Dewar (holds up to 4,500 frozen semen straws), an Ultrasound, 17 Equitainers, microwave, Centrifuge, 3 AV’s (2 Colorado’s and 1 Missouri), and endless breeding supplies. Just outside the lab is our awesome breeding stocks (a triple stock), they are the ultimate in safety for horses and people. We use the two outside stocks which open from the front, back and one side each. Your mare is comfortable as she walks in and when done walks out. From the stocks she can see her foal who has been left safely in his pen. Very near the stocks is our Phantom, where we collect all the stallions. Attached to the Lab is our Office, where we conduct business, keep all breeding record, and have most of the Awards our horses have won. Also attached is our full Bathroom. Foaling Stalls - 3 stalls all 16 X 21’s. They all have cameras in them so you can watch themfrom the main house, solid railroad tie floors (for some give and no way for horses to dig holes), bedded in thick shavings, cleaned twice a day, 45 gallon waters, all are heated, lighted, and have built in underground drain for urine. This barn also houses a large shop. Covered Barn – Our Covered Barn is our biggest barn on the Ranch. We have 4 16 X 32 pensunder here and 3 16 X 16’s. We like to use these pens to foal out those mares who don’t like seclusion. We also use them to wean foals and what ever else comes up. These pens are cleaned once a day and have 45 gallon waters. A small part on the end of this barn also serves as part of another shop. Area – Very large out door Arena with a full roping set up. A cattle pen is attached andusually has cattle in it. We drag the arena on a regular basis. Round Pen - The Round Pen is also large, a 60 footer. Awesome for starting younghorses or just to give one a work out. It has an overlook to watch from. A new 45 footer will be completed in the future. Outside Pens – We have 36 outside individual pens they are 12 X 21’s, we also have 10other pens that are much bigger in size, they each have 45 gallon water barrels. We use them to house most of the mares at breeding time, as they are teased every morning. These pens are tough built and guaranteed not to bend or brake at the welds. They must be tough to put up with brood mares, they have been put to the test for years and they are still like new. Paddocks – Our Paddocks are huge and we have 4 of them. All are pipe fenced and haveautomatic freeze free fresh waters. These are used for mares waiting to foal, mares with foals waiting to be ultra sounded and mis. horses. Hay Barn – We usually put up all of our own hay and store it in the barn. We have a 70acre Alfalfa field and prefer to feed Alfalfa. We will find other feed if needed for your horse. We also have a 20 acre field and a 6 acre grass pasture. Mis. Stuff – Located near the stud barn we have a single stock, with doors on the frontback and side (used for just about anything). We also have a breeding wall (used for teaching a young colt to breed sometimes) and a Hot Walker . USDA Quarantine Facility - HER has quarantined horses that we have sold over seasfor the last few years and as of 2006 we have been added to the USDA list of Certified Quarantine Facilities . Let us know if we can help with these needs. Every case is priced different as some country's have different needs. Farrier – Resident Farrier Chuck Costopoulos shoes Hot, Cold and Corrective.
